Your Fame is your Threat
THREAT LEVEL
Everything you do on this island builds your Fame โ and the island watches. The more notorious you get, the bigger and more frequent the hunts, until at the very top it stops sending people and starts sending monsters.

Higher threat means bigger, more frequent hunts โ and named hunters are far more likely to mark you. Lay low and your Fame — and your threat — cools over time.
How this is worked out
WHAT DECIDES WHAT COMES FOR YOU
Two separate things are decided every time the island moves on you: how dangerous each enemy is, and how many of them arrive. They are not the same number.
Tier — how dangerous
Comes from Fame: what you have actually done. A quiet survivor draws Stalkers. Earn a reputation and the island sends its named hunters after you. It climbs slowly, one rung at a time — nothing on this page can jump you two tiers at once.
Count — how many
Comes from how many of you are online, damped on purpose. Six of you will face more than one of you would — but not six times more. Numbers are meant to help you, not paint a target.
What you own
Vehicles, bases and squad size can lift an unproven squad off the floor — the island assumes anyone holding that much can handle something. But they are capped: property alone never takes you past Tier IV. Only your record does that.
Your own ground
Defending a base you own adds one tier. Holding what is yours is supposed to mean something, so it is never a free win.
How a squad changes the numbers
| Survivors online | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 6 | 8 | 12 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Enemies, relative to one | ×1.0 | ×1.8 | ×2.5 | ×3.3 | ×4.6 | ×5.9 | ×8.3 |
Twelve of you brings roughly eight times the enemies of one — not twelve times. That gap is deliberate: it is what stops a full squad being wiped for the crime of playing together.
